Birkenhead Park Football Club Regeneration Project
Funding has now been confirmed for £773,000 towards the first phase of the project.
PHASE 1 - which has already commenced will see the following work take place :
- New drainage system on lower pitch and improvements to main pitch - Completed
- Third generation full contact surface all weather training pitch (55m x 35m) - Completed
- New match floodlights on main pitch , floodlights on all weather pitch and new floodlights on training pitch - Completed
- New changing block with 6 rooms (each with en suite showers) , toilets, storage, 2 officials rooms and medical/physio room - On Going
- Conversion of existing function room to open plan multi purpose community room with external terrace and covered viewing area - Completed
- Conversion of old changing rooms and gym to new community rapid response fitness facility
- New gents and ladies toilets for clubhouse / squash/ gym area - Completed
- New vehicle entrance adjacent to squash courts - Completed
- Funding for sports development work to increase active use of facilities

Proposed timescale for above work : New changing rooms and conversion work March 2007- August 2007.
THERE IS STILL A REQUIREMENT TO RAISE FURTHER FUNDS TO ENABLE US TO COMPLETE PHASE 1 EG FOR NEW GYM EQUIPMENT, FURNITURE, MAINTENANCE AND SECURITY EQUIPMENT AND TO PROGRESS WITH PHASE 2 AND PHASE 3 AS QUICKLY AS POSSIBLE.
The membership has so far not been requested to contribute to the Regeneration Project but it is imperative that we take this opportunity of securing the Club’s long term future. Any members wishing to donate to the project or with fund raising ideas should contact Peter Greville for more information on 0151-653-6070 Any donations large or small can be strictly confidential if so required or publicised appropriately. The Club is in the process of registering for CASC status and will be able to claim tax on any donations thus increasing their value.
PHASE 2 - Improvements to spectator areas including stand and car parking surface. Landscaping and perimeter security.
PHASE 3 - Restoration and improvements to the historic Victorian Clubhouse
